The Weapons Video and New Control Scheme
HD LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n18u_7sYVxA&hd=1
Check out our new video! So we decided to drop mouse control for aiming. This was largely a balancing issue: giving the player full 360 degree control and the agility of the mouse cursor allowed for too much aim abuse and bullet spamming, so we decided to adjust the weapons axle to allow for different angles of shooting per weapon. From a balancing perspective, it makes all the difference in how the game plays. You can see how switching works in the video. Mainly we highlight some of the weapons you’ll come across. There are a lot of cool ones we hope you’ll enjoy taking a gander at. In addition to that, we have a few snippets of new environments we haven’t shown yet, and maybe even more importantly we show off some cool ways you can kill off enemies. Enemies will blow up in special ways according to the type of weapon you use. While admittedly a little subtle, it adds a pinch of depth to killing off baddies and it makes your foes feel like tangible entities that are actually reacting to your weapons. We have a few different kinds of interactions in place currently: standard explosion, electrical power down, bursting into flame, ejection seats, and slicing enemies in half. Out system also has flexibility to allow for “special” deaths to occur, for instance, with the police cars, you’ll notice some of them spin out when they die, while others might veer off course and crash into the environment. Alternatively, the cars can also just get blown into the air. It’s pretty fun, right?
If you dig what we’re doing, please help us get the word out by retweeting, sharing us on Facebook, posting on message boards, or just telling your friends next time you see them. I hope you’ll help us out, because our success hinges on you. We’re such a small outfit, that if we can’t get noticed among bigger titles our humble dev team will fail, so I hope you’ll join us in spreading the word. And a special thanks to everyone that already has! We love you guys!
Our team is super excited to be showing new stuff, and we still have quite a bit we haven’t revealed yet so stay tuned. And let us know what you think! Don’t be a stranger! We won’t bite too hard!

Yeah, I’m still weighing out options with regard to a Kickstarter. If we have enough support and people know of us then its more likely that we’d attempt it, since it really does come down to marketing (like everything else). :]
The fact that you’ve expressed interest not only in our project but a Kickstarter helps us a lot. Super appreciated!

Trust me,a friend of mine just recently got his funding over Kickstarter for a similar Shooter Project !
And it was Unbelievable how much came together over what he asked for
There are lots of people who Love and Miss Games like what you are working on,and if they knew about you ,the would back you up in a blink !
And for sure Marketing plays always an important role, but Quality in the end even more so !
But from what I saw ,no need to worry about that part !
Cheers

So far we have not set up a Kickstarter, just so you know. It’s not out of the question that we will, but we haven’t made any decisions on that just yet. There is a lot to consider.
And thanks for the support! Really right now, we would just love it if you and anyone else who likes the look of our game would help us out by sharing with other friends, and keeping an eye on us in the future.
