Welcome to the official HEAVEN VARIANT development blog. We’ll be updating this dev blog regularly with plenty of info, screenshots, videos, music, podcasts, and more. HEAVEN VARIANT is a modernized throwback to the classic side scrolling shooter genre and is being produced by Zanrai Interactive, a Dallas, Texas based indie game studio. The game’s presentation is heavily influenced by classic shooters of the 1990′s. Our team wants Heaven Variant to be a next gen gaming experience with a deep old school soul, something that offers cutting edge graphics and sound yet retains a familiar aesthetic from classic shooters. Outside of blowing things to smithereens, we’ve added a few unique gameplay elements to HEAVEN VARIANT that are pretty exciting too! We’re very excited to reveal it all, very soon! In the coming weeks, we’ll be posting plenty of info on just how this gameplay works and what it will mean for the player.

We intend to regularly update this developer blog with what’s going on at our studio to keep onlookers right in the loop. A game is only as strong as its community and our team hopes to directly engage our readers as development for Heaven Variant continues. Your voice is important in this process.
